This experience of mine became even more generalised when my bestie , Jaspal cargoed his bullet all the way from Shah-din-wala,a village at toe's length from Pakistan, to the IT hub - Banglore, down-under.
What's even more enthralling is that some families in Punjab have bullets as FAMILY TREASURES(Passed in hierarchy)..they will sell you everything but not The BELOVED BULLET. Bullet 350 has a long wheel base and bigger tyres that provide increased stability, making it ideal for long distance travel or short rides.
Standard Model is prefered over Royal Enfield. Also, recently there was a kind of social mourning and waves of sadness in the region, when it became official that Old Model of Bullets will be retired .There was no supply of motorcycles for a time (that seemed ages) and people tried in every nook and corner to coerce the-already-Bullet-possessers to sell the Bikes.
This piece of metal is not a accessory but a necessity for some.
A famous short Bullet story goes like this....
A Boy once had a fight with her Girlfriend.
He kept calling her time and again......
Sent her expensive gifts.....
Crying(Very very ostensibely)......
The sole reason for all this - Their was shortage of the enfield bikes, which generated a fair amount of black market, luckily the girl's brother had a Bullet and this guy just wanted this one-in-a-million bike so badly.
Ah! I have to say ........ Love sees no bars......
